PANHANDLE CHAPTER

Florida Government Finance Officer’s Association

 

 

 

Welcome to the Panhandle Chapter of the Florida Government Finance Officer’s Association!  The Panhandle Chapter covers the area between Tallahassee and Pensacola.  Our approximately 100 members are comprised of employees from federal, state, and local governments, special districts, non-profits, public accounting firms, financial institutions, and educational faculty.  Because of our large geographical area, we try to have our meetings in central locations.  In the past, DeFuniak Springs, located along I-10, has been the location of choice, but meetings can be offered in other jurisdictions as the membership desires.

 

Our meeting schedule is quarterly – January, April (annual meeting), July, and October – and we strive to provide a variety of subjects of interest to all participants.  Our events provide opportunities to acquire CPE credits in a variety of topics such as auditing, budgeting, debt management, legislative issues, and treasury management.
